The main plant populations on Stipa breviflora desert steppe were taken as study object, and the spatial distribution characteristics in grazing area (CG area) , rotational grazing area (RG area) and free-grazing area (CK area) were explored with the help of variance analysis, ground statistical analysis and fractal theory. The results showed that grazing simplified the spatial pattern of the plant populations on Stipa brevi flora desert steppe, and weakened the spatial heterogeneity and discrete distribution. This effect was more obvious on free grazing than rotational grazing. The magnitude of fluctuation and the degree of dispersion in the spatial distribution of the dominant species Allium polyrhizum was CK area 展开▼
