Objective To discuss the difference of testicular volume between clinical and subclinical varicoceles by high frequency color Doppler ultrasound.Methods The testicular volume, internal diameter of spermatic vein, spermatic vein presence of reflux and reflux rate were examined by gray-scale and color Doppler ultrasound in 34 cases of subclinical varicocele patients and 37 cases of clinical varicocele patients (9 cases were bilateral and 28 cases were left).ResultsThere were statistically signiifcant differences in the average testicular volume between clinical and subclinical varicoceles (P<0.05).ConclusionIn patients with varicocele, clinical varicocele is often accompanied by ipsilateral testicular atrophy, subclinical varicocele is not associated with ipsilateral testicular atrophy.%目的：应用高频彩超探讨临床型和亚临床型精索静脉曲张之间睾丸体积是否存在差异。方法采用灰阶和彩色多普勒超声测量34例亚临床型精索静脉曲张患者和37例临床型精索静脉曲张患者（左侧28例，双侧9例）的睾丸体积、精索静脉内径、精索静脉是否存在反流及反流速度。结果临床型和亚临床型精索静脉曲张患者的睾丸平均体积差异有统计学意义（P＜0.05）。结论精索静脉曲张患者中，临床型精索静脉曲张常伴有同侧的睾丸萎缩，亚临床型精索静脉曲张并不伴有同侧的睾丸萎缩。
