A new pentaaminechlorocobalt(III) complex [Co(terpy)(bpy)Cl]2+ has been synthesised which is unusual in that it is devoid of any acidic protons, and in this complex, the terpy and the bpy is 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine and 2,2′-bispyridine respectively.
