The podocyte is a key cell in selective filtering action of the glomerular capillary wall. The podocyte injury is the feature of many primary and secondary glomerular diseases. The podocyte repair and regeneration become the main therapeutic targets. With the development of molecular biology and cell biology, the study and understanding of podocyte are more and more deep in recent years.
