Specific examples of the agricultural-based research that are relevant to Human and Veterinary Medicine include: cyclopamine from Veratrum californicum (western false hellebore), piperidine alkaloids from Lupinus species (lupines), and cicutoxin from Cicuta species (water hemlock).
