The chemical reaction in charge and discharge process, the polar plate vulcanization, and its cause and harm to lead acid battery was discussed. The solutions for vulcanization elimination were analyzed, the activation principle was studied, and a kind of pulse circuit for charge-discharge cycles was designed.
