Four Wave Mixing of the Signal and ASE Noise in Long Distance Optical Communication System

         

摘要

Analytical expression of the long distance optical communication system performance degradation is derived when nonlinear interaction between the signal and ASE noise is considered.Accroding to the equations in this paper,either increasing the transmission distance or increasing input signal power can lead to very rapid growing of the noise.To suppress such noise,emplying a lower bandwidth electric filter in the receiver is very effective.
