A new algorithm to automatically locate broadcast storm source position is proposed. SNMP is applied to attain broadcast/ multicast packet number information received by each network device port. By calculating port broadcast/multicast packet receipt rate the source port of the broadcast storm can be located. Experiments show that the algorithm can quickly and accurately locate the port of the broadcast storm source, so that the broadcast storm source automatic location problem can be effectively solved.%提出一种自动定位广播风暴源位置的新算法.利用简单网络管理协议(SNMP)获取网络设备每个端口接收的广播/多播包的数量信息,通过计算端口广播/多播包接收速率定位广播风暴的来源端口.实验表明该算法可迅速、准确地定位广播风暴源的来源端口,有效地解决广播风暴源自动定位的问题.
