Multi-Tenancy Technology is the most essential difference between SaaS(Software as a Service) and traditional development model, which mainly reflected in the data layer and application layer; Accroding to the basis of configurability, high performance and scalablilty, SaaS application will be divided into four grades, which called SaaS maturity model, and having configurablility and high performance can be regarded as SaaS application.
