Prognostic and Health Management (PHM) system is a key technique as a new type maintenance mode for the Autonomic Logistics CAL) support system , PHM technology can realize the function of fault detection, diagnosis, prediction, state assessment and integrated decision- making. Meanwhile, it can reduce the cost of maintenance use and security and improve readiness states, task success rate, safety and availability. This paper briefly demonstrates the function, evolution and the current status of PHM both in China and abroad. And it discusses.
