Sodium-modified bentonite is most widely used, and inorganic pillared bentonite has the best application prospect. In this paper, research status of sodium-modified bentonite was introduced; characteristics, preparation methods and application of inorganic pillared bentonite were discussed. At last, some problems in application of sodium-modified bentonite and inorganic pillared bentonite were analyzed as well as their development directions.%膨润土的钠化改性和无机柱撑分别是膨润土资源应用范围最广以及最具高层次应用前景的两个方面。本文综述了膨润土钠化改性的现状，以及柱撑膨润土的特性、制备、研究进展，分别分析了钠化和无机柱撑改性在实际应用中存在的问题和以后的研究方向。
