The properties and yarn quality control issues of Xinjiang machine picked cotton were discussed. The properties of Xinjiang machine picked cotton and the quality differences between machine picked and manual picked cotton were introduced. Fine yarn was produced by machine picked cotton. The yarn quality control was focused on neps and short fiber content. The increase situation of neps &short fiber content in each process and the processing configuration thinking with Xinjiang machine picked cotton were analyzed. Better yarn quality effect was achieved. It is considered that cotton yarn meeting with quality requirements can be spun according to the quality properties of Xinjiang machine picked cotton, by focusing on the control of neps and short fiber during spinning and by taking related processing technology measures.%探讨新疆机采棉的特性与纺纱质量控制问题.介绍了新疆机采棉的特性, 以及机采棉与手采棉的质量差异.用机采棉生产细特纱, 将棉结和短绒作为纺纱质量控制的重点, 分析了各工序棉结和短绒率的增长情况, 以及用新疆机采棉纺纱的工艺配置思路和取得的纺纱质量效果.认为:应根据新疆机采棉的质量特性, 纺纱过程中将棉结和短绒指标作为控制重点, 并采取相应的工艺技术措施, 能够纺出符合质量要求的棉纱.
