The exceeding development of mega - polises is a universal practice in the course of urbanization. Many developed cities such as london, Paris, Tokyo and New York have experienced this phase. Many big cities grow very fast, as of 1994, 22 cities in the world have a population of over 8 million, among them, 12 is in Asia and 3, i.e. Bangkok, Jakarta and Manila, in Southeast Asia. This articles elaborates the causes of this phenomenon and the status.
