In 2003, Thailand ranked first in its economic growth in the Southeast Asian Region and 2003 was also a year that its economy grew fastest since the Economic Crisis in 1997 in its history. Such achievements were due to the fact that it had enjoyed political stability and in diplomacy, had advocated the theme of advancing economy and trade, thus stimulating domestic demand and expanding the volume of foreign trade becoming the two main forces. In 2004, though new opportunities and challenges co - exist, Thailand is still expected to become a shining “star of economy” in Asia.
