Chinese students consist of the main body of the new comers of Chinese immigrants in Singapore with students at or below the ages of 16 making up a large portion, thus Chinese mothers as tenders of their children who undertake education in Singapore coming into being. Statistics shows that there are now around 10,000 Chinese mothers of this kind living there, which becomes a focus of attention in the study of the new immigration. This essay tries to analyze the cause, present situation and prospect of this phenomenon.
