The applied situation of old auxiliary 6 kV electric transformers in the thermal power plant is analyzed. A comparison of performance characteristics between oil-fil ed electric transformer and dry-type transformer is discussed. lt proposes that dry-type transformer has more advantages on the safety and economy operation.%通过对热电厂原厂用6kV变压器使用状况的分析，对比油浸变压器与干式变压器的性能特点，提出了干式变压器在安全性、经济运行中更具优势。
