In order to analyze the feasibility and the application of EPON technology in Expressway video surveillance, the principle of EPON technology are analyzed, and described the structure of EPON technology of highway video surveillance, discusses on the problems and measures of application of EPON technology in video surveillance and highway. The OLT device is connected to the highway transport platform in communication station using internal Ethernet, so that the communication function is realized and the monitoring platform, are suitable for the video monitoring Internet transmission.
