Fire and Gas Detection System which play a signiifcant role on the preventing and production safety includes the detection and ifre alarm and combustible gas. It is a critical component of the security system involved in the petrochemical equipments. This paper brielfy introduced the basic function, design demand and issues related to the detection and alarm devices in association of the application of F&GS in long petroleum pipeline construction.%火灾和气体报警系统简称火气系统（F&GS），包括火灾和可燃体检测报警两个部分，在防范火灾、确保安全生产方面发挥着重要的作用，是构成石油化工装置安全系统的重要组成部分。本文结合其在长输管道中的应用，简要介绍其基本功能、设计要求，以及检测器、报警器的设置等工程问题。
