China's renewable energies were in the stage of scale-up development in 2010, massively involved in a wide range of sectors. The installed capacity of hydro power exceeded 200 GW, the wind power generation was over 30 GW, the grid-connected solar power generation market was initiated, and more diversified bioenergies was rapidly developed. However, there are more challenges existing for accomplishing mid & long-term targets. New plan and targets are expected to be set out in 2011. And thus it should put great efforts on improving market, pricing, fiscal and taxation policies.
