OBJECTIVE:To probe into the effects of insulin glargine combined with metformin hydrochloride on blood glucose, body mass index(BMI) and prognosis of patients with type 2 diabetes.METHODS:110 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted from Oct .2013 to Oct.2015 were selected to be divided into observation group and control group via the random number table .48 patients in control group were treated with insulin aspart , while 62 patients in observation group received insulin glargine combined with metformin hydrochloride .The blood glucose , body mass index and prognosis were compared between two groups .RESULTS:After treatment, compared with before treatment , the fasting blood-glucose(FBG), 2 h of postprandial blood glucose and HbAlc of two groups after treatment decreased significantly , and the falling range of observation group was better than that of control group , with statistically significant difference (P0.05).The incidence of hypoglycemia in control group was 18.75%(9/38), significantly higher than that of observation group [4.84%(3/62)], with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).The scores of mental health, physical health and social health of observation group were significantly higher than that of control group , with statistically significant difference ( P<0.05 ) .CONCLUSIONS:The clinical effects of insulin glargine combined with metformin hydrochloride in treatment of type 2 diabetes is significant , which has positive effects on patients'blood glucose and prognosis , and has no effects on BMI with high safety .It is worthy of clinical application and promotion .%目的：探讨甘精胰岛素联合盐酸二甲双胍治疗对2型糖尿病患者血糖、体质量指数（ BMI ）及预后的影响。方法：选择2013年10月—2015年10月收治的110例2型糖尿病患者，按随机数字表法分为观察组和对照组。对照组48例患者应用门冬胰岛素治疗，观察组62例患者应用甘精胰岛素联合盐酸二甲双胍治疗，比较2组患者的血糖变化情况、BMI及预后。结果：治疗后，2组患者空腹血糖、餐后2h血糖、糖化血红蛋白均较治疗前显著下降，且观察组降低幅度明显优于对照组，差异均有统计学意义（P＜0.05）；2组患者BMI治疗前后及组间的差异均无统计学意义（P＞0.05）。对照组患者低血糖发生率为18.75％（9／38），明显高于观察组的4.84％（3／62），差异有统计学意义（P＜0.05）。观察组患者心理健康、生理健康与社会健康评分均明显高于对照组，差异均有统计学意义（ P＜0.05）。结论：甘精胰岛素联合盐酸二甲双胍治疗2型糖尿病效果较好，对患者血糖及预后均有积极影响，不会影响患者的BMI，安全性较高，值得临床推广。
