Based on meteorological observation data of Kaifeng City from 1971 to 2011,this paper analysed the gale climate characteristics in Kaifeng City. It was concluded that: the interannual days and decadal days of gale in Kaifeng City were reduced. Seven level intermittent wind was concentrated in March and April. The gale in the spring covered 45% of the total year, and the gale in the winter covered 27%. Northerly and westerly gale was much than the southerly and easterly gale. At the end,the typical weather situation and the characteristic of northerly gale and westerly gale are summarized.%选取开封市1971-2011年气象实测资料,分析了开封市近41年大风天气气候特征,得出结论:开封市大风日数年际、年代际均呈下降趋势,多为7级阵性大风；大风日主要集中在3-4月,春季最多,占全年大风日数的45％,冬季次之,占27％；多为偏西大风,少偏南和偏东大风.总结了偏北、偏西大风的典型天气形势及其特点.
