According to the law of the development of foundation settlement,this paper builds the poisson model prediction and introduces the model’s characteristics and solution procedure.By analysing the mechanisms and project cases,the paper proves under the circumstances of linear load and nearly lin-ear load,this kind of model can reflect the relationship between the settling volume and the time during o-verall process.%根据地基沉降的发展规律，建立泊松曲线预测模型，介绍模型的特点及求解过程，通过分析机理和工程实例，证明了在线性加载或近似线性加载的情况下，该模型能够很好地反映全过程的沉降量与时间的关系。
