This paper investigated and analyzed the participants of the Fourth Volleyball Game in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province by using methods of literature review, questionnaire survey and field investigation. The study aims to explore the current situation of volleyball development in Ganzhou City , Further analysis of the factor which affects its development, finding worthy experience and reference to provide useful references for the development of the elder balloon volleyball in other areas. The result shows that the development of the old-age volleyball in Ganzhou is good , the popularization of balloon volleyball is high and masses actively participate in activities and the construction of the venues and facilities more perfect. The balloon volleyball activity plays an important role in fitness , physique strength and interpersonal communication among the elder. The suggestions for promoting sustainable and healthy development of balloon volleyball is illustrated below:: other counties need carry out implement on development and spreading from governments' attention , capital investment, venue facilities and equipments, public participation and local economic level.%运用文献资料法、问卷调查法、实地考察法等对江西省赣州市第四届老年人健身体育运动会的气排球参与者进行调查分析，旨在深入探究赣州市老年气排球运动的发展现状，同时进一步分析影响其发展的诸多因素并从中找出值得推广的经验和借鉴，以便为我国其它地区老年气排球运动更好的开展提供有益的参考。研究表明：赣州市老年气排球运动的发展态势良好，气排球运动普及程度高，群众参与积极，场地设施建设等较为完善，气排球运动对老年人在锻炼身体、增强体质以及促进人际交往等方面作用显著。建议：全国其它地区在开展和推广这一运动时应着重从政府重视程度、活动资金投入、场地设施及器材、公众参与以及地方经济水平等方面进行贯彻和落实，以促进气排球运动的持久、健康发展。
