当年乒乓球超级联赛在创建初期能够成功开展，双轨制在其中“功不可没”，而在新时期新形势下却成为了乒超联赛深度发展的绊脚石。2014赛季乒超联赛继2008赛季后再次失去冠名商，在一流的教练组、球员和一流的平台上组成的联赛却无法吸引到赞助商和观众。因而现在联赛想取得更长远的发展必须结合当前市场导向走职业市场化道路，实现真正意义上的管办分离：让俱乐部拥有运动员产权和肖像权，制定完整的转会制度和工资标准，废除联赛对外援的限制，并将运动员在联赛中的成绩作为运动员代表国家征战国际大赛的重要指标，才能真正体现“第三次创业”的意义，使乒超联赛走上一条可持续发展的道路，推动其实现乒坛NBA这一发展目标。%At the beginning of the creation that table tennis super league successfully carried out,the double-track system has made difference, but which in the new era under the new situation has become a stumbling block to the depth development of ping super league.
