This paper connects corporate growth, innovation and social network theory, and postulates that the social capital intensity has different effects on enterprise.Based on a survey data collected from more than 200 medium small and micro science and technology enterprises in Beijing, by using exploratory factor analysis (EFA), multiple regression and confirmatory (CFA), the path dependence of corporate social capital intensity on enterprise innovation and growth performance is analyzed by empirical methods.The main conclusions are: stronger social capital and product innovation may have a substitutions effects, and when the intensity of social capital is not high, relationship between innovation and performance of enterprise becomes significant, product innovation exert a positive effect on enterprise growth by enhancing the enterprise's innovation status in the industry;social capital has indirect positive effects on enterprise growth through innovation.%将企业成长问题与创新、社会网络关系理论联系起来,可以发现社会资本存在强度区别并具有不同的企业功效.基于北京市200多家科技型中小微企业调查数据,结合运用探测性因子分析、多元回归及验证性分析,就有关企业社会资本强度对企业创新绩效及成长之间的影响路径依赖关系进行实证研究.主要结论有:高强度的社会资本对产品创新动力形成一定挤压或替代,当社会资本强度不高时,创新绩效对企业成长的影响关系变得显著;企业内部产品创新通过提升该企业的行业创新地位而正向作用于企业成长;社会资本通过创新绩效对企业成长具有显著正影响.
