There exist some problems when using theodolite to measure tower crane verticality ,such as low accuracy ,man-ual operation and so on .The paper proposes an automatic measurement method for tower crane verticality .The method esti-mates the position of the tower crane boom automatically by measuring the angle of inclination and then determines the verti -cal measurement surface .Firstly ,the measurement error of using theodolite for tower crane verticality is analyzed ,and then the formulas of tower crane verticality are derived . Finally , the automatic measurement and monitoring system for tower crane verticality is designed .%针对利用经纬仪测量塔机垂直度精度不高、不能实时监测等问题，提出一种塔机垂直度自动测量方法。通过测量塔机转角自动判断臂架位置，进而确定垂直度测量面。分析了现行垂直度测量的误差原因，推导了垂直度与塔机转角和倾角之间的计算公式，并设计了塔机垂直度自动监测系统。
