The paper points out that status quo of grass-roots sci-tech information service in new period include single and back-ward service mode, low quality of employees, not advanced enough service means, gradually lowered service institutions status. It con-siders that to overcome these problems, grass-roots sci-tech information institutions need to innovate information service mode, con-stantly broaden service scope, strengthen service team construction, integrate sci-tech information service institution with productivity promotion center, establish public technology information service platform.%指出服务模式单一且落后、员工素质偏低、服务手段不够先进、服务机构地位逐渐降低是新时期基层科技情报服务工作的现状。认为要克服存在的问题，基层科技情报服务机构应创新情报服务模式，不断扩宽情报服务的工作范围，强化情报队伍建设，将科技情报服务机构跟生产力促进中心有机整合，建立公共技术信息服务平台。
