PremacuIa hemorrhage can cause a sudden and dramatic Ioss of centraI vision. In some patients with premacuIa hemorrhage, the hemorrhage can be spontaneousIy resorbed, but in a sIow - processing manner, and the toxic metaboIites of resorbing process eventuaIIy cause permanent vision Ioss. Vitrectomy can effectiveIy remove hemorrhage and improve vision. But its potentiaI probIematic compIications and reIativeIy high medicaI cost hinder the cIinicaI appIication. Thus severaI non - vitrectomy techniques have gained attentions due to quickIy vision recovering on treatment of premacuIa hemorrhage.
