In this paper,the maximum likelihood estimation of geometric distribution under type-Π censoring is discussed,and the further asymptotic normality and its strong consistency are proved. Moreover,statistic on testing equality of two geometric distributions and its limit distribution are given. These results have common and practical sense about the parameter estimation of other discrete distributions.%本文讨论了定时截尾情形几何分布参数的极大似然估计,证明了参数的极大似然估计的相合性质和进一步的渐近正态性质,给出了检验两几何总体参数相等的检验统计量以及检验统计量的极限分布。其结果对于离散型总体分布的参数估计问题具有普遍的现实意义。
