By analyzing the pollution characteristics of surface water sediment, the disadvantagesof ectopic remediation technology were pointed out including high cost and serious destruction that was restricted in application. Therefore, the situ-control technology has become a focus. All kinds of situ-control technologies were discussed and their development status and existing problems were explored.
