Land surface temperature (LST) was retrieved in Nanjing city by using the inversion algorithm based on image,the spatial and temporal variation of the urban heat island effect was analyzed. The results showed that: ①there was obvious heat island effect in Nanjing city, heat island intensity was 1~3 level higher in urban as compared to suburbs; ② the area of urban heat island increased obviously in Nanjing since 1988,and emerged trend of expansion to the south; ③ on spaces, there was uneven distribution of heat island intensity, new urban became new center of the strong heat island.%利用基于影像的反演算法,对南京市进行地表温度反演,分析了南京市城市热岛效应的时空演变.结果表明:①南京存在明显热岛效应,市区热岛强度普遍高于郊区1~3级;②自1988年以来,南京城市热岛效应面积增长明显,并出现向城南扩张的趋势;③南京热岛强度空间分布不均匀,新城区成为新的强热岛中心.
