H SI色彩空间的彩色图像小波域直方图均衡算法

     

摘要

Color image enhancement is one of the widely used image processing techniques .As the traditional method usually leads to tonal variation as well as noise amplification in the enhanced image , a kind of novel histogram equalization algorithm suit-able for color image is put forward .First, the color image is transformed into HSI color space , and three-layer wavelet decomposi-tion is conducted on intensity component of the image .Then, histogram equalization is used to process the lower frequency compo-nent, and the enhanced image is accessed by wavelet reconstruct and color space transformation .The experimental results show that, by using the proposed algorithm, the enhanced image is not only able to keep the hue of the original image, but also evidently promotes the performance of noise suppression .The algorithm can be used in color image contrast enhancement to achieve a more ideal visual effect.%彩色图像增强是一种应用广泛的图像处理技术。针对传统方法通常会导致增强后的图像出现色调变化与噪声放大的问题,提出一种改进的彩色图像直方图均衡算法。首先,将彩色图像转换到 HSI颜色空间,对其中的亮度分量进行3层小波分解;然后,对低频分量进行直方图均衡处理,通过小波重构与色彩空间转换得到输出图像。实验结果表明,该算法增强的彩色图像不仅保持了原图像色调,还明显提高了抑制噪声的性能。将该算法用于彩色图像对比度增强能够取得较为理想的视觉效果。
