“The Kite Runner” is considered as a novel of redemption and growth ,which has been often analyzed from the as‐pect of its theme ,however ,the deep causes of redemption are seldom reasoned by scholars .The hero in his exile to America is greatly influenced with its modern values and he obtains consciousness of Christianity ,spirit of emigration culture and individual‐ism ,which are the essential causes for his redemption .%学界公认《追风筝的人》是一部关于救赎与成长的小说，但这些论文鲜有分析探讨移民作家在救赎背后的深层次因由。主人公从神谕性社会流亡在美国，在美国为代表的西方价值观的影响下，他获取基督教的救赎意识、移民文化的包容精神及个人主义的自我意识，这些新的意识正是他能够勇敢跨出自我救赎的根本原因。
