First, the paper discusses the functions of virtual library,then takes two systems( Infom-ing and SHVRL)which ar e called virtual library comparing with the functions. The result shows that thevirtual library existed is an embryonic form. In China the virtual library will not emerge in large numbersin near future because of the restriction of national conditions.%本文针对“偏激”的虚拟图书馆论点，从虚拟图书馆的功能出发考察了现实中的“虚拟图书馆”，认为目前号称的虚拟图书馆只具备虚拟图书馆的部分功能，仅仅是虚拟图书馆的雏形，对我国而言由于国情和基础的限制，虚拟图书馆的大量出现并非指日可待。
