As famous poets with Buddhist nature in the Tang Dynasty, Wang Fanzhi and Han Shan both created many poems with their own unique identity and way of thinking. There are some similarities in their language style and the publicity of doctrine. However, due to different life experiences and the cultural influence, their poems have their own characteristics. In terms of content, Wang Fanzhi's are close to the life of common people, while Han Shan's are more of the color of literati. In terms of the view of life and death, Wang Fanzhi's poems are more passionate and indignant while Han Shan's are free and easy. In terms of image selection, Wang's poems are monotonous, mostly with Buddha as the dominant image while Han Shan's poems are rich in images from the nature.
