纵观各类语法著作与教材，汉语词的归类问题一直没有统一的看法，而其中的几大分歧之中，语气词的归属问题一直是热点之一。语气词从语法功能上来说，是可以辅助句子表示一定的语气的；从语法位置上来说，可以附加在词、短语，或是句子之后，并不是传统所认为一定是附着在句子之后，因此而区别于其他助词的；从语法分析的操作性来说，若视其为独立的词类，大量处于句末的“了”、“的”等词性将无法判定。因此，语气词应视为助词下的一个小类即“语气助词”，而没有单独视为一种词类的必要。%Views about word category are different in various Chinese grammar works and teaching materi-als.Among the several main controversies,where should the modal particle be sorted is always a hot top-ic.This thesis argues that the modal particle is a subclass of auxiliary word.First,modal particles show mood in sentences as assistant form.Second,they could appear at the end of a word,a phrase or a sen-tence as an affix.Third,it will be more operable in syntactic analysis if we classed them in auxiliary word. In short,modal particle has many common characteristics with other auxiliary words.It has no need to separate them as a single class from auxiliary word.
