Vertical section of single-span catenary theory had great significance for the design of suspension. Vertical section profile of catenary could determine weather the construction of suspension was suitable for the variable slope of the ground. Establishing the mathematical model of vertical section profile on the basis of single-span catenary theory, the designer can develop the system of the drawing of vertical section profile of single span cableway by VB 6.0 system software. The design calculation of the single-span light skidding cableway in Mining sterile field of Erdu in Shaowu City of Fujian Province verified the feasibility of the system of vertical section profile.%单跨悬链线理论的索道侧型图对架空索道设计有着重要意义,通过索道侧型图可以判断索道架设对地面变坡是否适宜.在悬链线理论的基础上,建立单跨索道侧型图绘制的数学模型,利用VB 6.0系统软件研发单跨索道侧型图系统.以福建省邵武市二都林业采育场单跨轻型集材索道,验证单跨索道侧型图设计系统的可行性.
