The painting is a kind of common art form of Mazu culture. Three pictures of the Tianfei in the water and land drawing in the Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty and a Portrait of Madame Anji, a Tianfei Notre Dame Bixiayuanjun picture in Ming Dynasty, and four kinds of the publication of ancient illustrations are taken for example, mainly on research of these drawings origin, category, meaning and characteristic. A conclusion may be safely drawn that the Poseidon Tianfei has been called Notre Dame in Yuan Dynasty, and Tianfei's portrait of the Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty are recreated with new works, without interruption in the Qing Dynasty before the emergence of the Qianlong.%绘画是妈祖文化载体中常见的一种美术形式.以搜集的元明时代水陆画中的海神天妃像3 幅、安济夫人像1 幅以及明代<天妃圣母碧霞元君像>1 幅,4 种明刻古籍天妃版画插图为例,重点考述这些画像的来历、类别、意义和特色,认为海神天妃"圣母"之称元代已有,天妃画像元明时代屡有新作,并非中断至清代乾隆朝才出现.
