To select optimal light medium formula for breeding Camellia oleifera in its northern distribution margin,five media formulations were tested based on the previous studies in Guangshan County (Xinyang City) in 2010. The nutrients of the medium and the growth indices of seedings were measured. The results indicated that impact on underneath seedling growth differed significantly among mediums,but not for the above ground. Basal diameter,root volume,underground fresh biomass and net biomass differed significantly among mediums. The components of the optimal medium consisted of 75% peat soil,5% perlite,10% vermiculite,5% plant ashes and 5% clay. Growth indices of one-year-old seedlings on such medium were 13.02 cm in height,1.86 cm3 in volume,0.358 cm of basal diameter,1.018 g of the above ground biomass and 0.695 g of underground biomass.%为了筛选油茶北缘分布区油茶芽苗砧嫁接育苗最佳轻基质配方,选择5种适宜油茶生长的轻基质配方在信阳市光山县开展筛选研究.测定了各种轻基质化学性质及一年生苗木的生长指标.结果表明,不同轻基质对苗木地下部分的影响较大;油茶地径、节间长、根系体积、地下部鲜重及总生物量等指标在不同轻基质间存在显著差异.从中筛选出适宜油茶北缘分布区的最佳轻基质配方,其体积组成为:泥炭土75%+珍珠岩5%+蛭石10%+草木灰5%+黄土5%.其1年生苗木的苗高为13.02 cm,根系体积为1.86 cm3,地径为0.358 cm,地上部干重为1.018 g,地下部干重0.695 g.
