阳离子微粒聚合物在造纸工业中的应用

         

摘要

采用乳剂和溶液的聚合技术制备了不同电荷密度和胶体性质的阳离子微粒聚合物(CPMP).论文探讨了阳离子微粒聚合物在造纸工业中的应用.研究表明用阳离子或阴离子的聚合物与阳离子微粒聚合物联合使用可以改善纸张的匀度和留着率.其机理可能是由于阳离子微粒聚合物的加入产生了更有效的架桥絮聚.另外阳离子微粒聚合物也是一种良好的施胶剂,研究结果表明施胶效果与聚合物添加量、电荷密度和微粒尺寸有关.通过施胶张可以获得更好的光学和物理性能.%Cationic polymeric micro particles (CPMP) with different charge densities and colloidal properties are prepared from emulsion and solution polymerization techniques. The applications of the CPMP in papermaking are studied. It is found that the combination of cationic polymeric microparticles with a cationic or anionic polymer can significantly improve the flocculation and retention efficiency. For the dual- flocculent system of CPMP and anionic polymer, the pre adsorption of cationic micro particles may affect the conformation of the polymer on the substrate surface. The charge repulsion between pre - adsorbed cationic micro particle and cationic polymer may prevent the polymer from getting flat on the subetrate surface, such the flocculation efficiency of cationic polymer can be significantly improved through more effective bridge flocculation. The CPMP can also be effective intemal sizing agents. Results indicated that the sizing performance is the function of co- polymer addition level, charge density, and the particle size. The improved optical and mechanical properties are also observed on sized hand sheets.
