Lu Carol is the ritual music created in Kingdom Lu to compliment and record Duke Luxi＇s civil virtue and military virtue. According to the information in Zuo＇s Commentary, Duke Luxi was indeed a great monarch and he had made achievements great enough to comfort the Lu kings before him, which conforms to the purpose of Carol： beautifying his great virtues and telling his merits to the gods.%《鲁颂》是鲁国创制的礼乐，是对鲁僖公文德和武德的颂美和书写。根据《左传》等相关文献记载，鲁僖公在历史上确实是一个有能力、有作为的国君，其政绩足以告慰鲁国的先祖，完全符合颂诗“美盛德之形容”的创作宗旨，符合“以成功告于神明”的仪式要求。
