高职院校学生英语阅读能力较弱一直困扰着英语教学，制约着学生英语综合能力的提高。文章分析了其中原因，并从提升学生自信心、阅读材料选择、授课方法以及课堂氛围营造到英美文化导入等方面进行了探讨。%students of vocational college lack the interest of reading ,which results in low reading level and re-stricts English teaching .The causes are analyzed in the article ,it also explores the ways of solving these problems such as inspiring self - confidence ,carefully choosing reading material ,improving teaching methods and strengthen-ing the introduction of different cultures .
