高职英语教学的目的是培养学生实际运用语言进行交流的能力，实现跨文化交际。要达到这个目标，需要认识到高职英语教育并不是纯粹的技能学习，也包括跨文化教育。这种观念可以通过把高职英语教学与文化导入相结合，采取不同的导入方法，遵循一定的原则，使高职英语教学有实质性的提高和突破。%The aim of English teaching in higher vocational College is to cultivate students’ability to use lan-guage in cross-cultural communication.To achieve this goal,we need to be aware of the fact that the higher voca-tional English education is not a purely skill learning.It should include intercultural education.This concept can bring a substantial improvement and breakthrough to higher vocational English teaching if we combine English teaching with culture introduction by certain different methods and principles.
