Evaluation and Spatial Differentiation of Sustainable Development in Jiangxi Province Based on County-Level Units

This paper constructed a sustainable development evaluation system,which consisted of economic growth,social coordination,resource utilization,and ecological support to evaluate 92 counties in Jiangxi Province.The results showed that：（1） the comprehensive sustainability of counties in Jiangxi Province was olive-shaped,which means that the majority of the counties were moderately sustainable,and few counties were lowly sustainable or highly sustainable.The differentiation of the comprehensive sustainable development of ＂economy-society-resources-ecology＂ in Jiangxi Province showed the basic pattern of the ＂one da（a Chinese character） and two regions＂.The counties located on the ＂da＂ shape line had a higher degree of overall sustainability,while the counties located in the two regions had lower overall sustainability.（2） The frame of comprehensive sustainable development in counties had regional differences and axial orientation.The sustainability of resource use and ecological support of counties was closely related to their geographical factors and historical background.（3） The low comprehensive sustainability of Jiangxi Province was related to weak traffic accessibility,multiple social and cultural types,single industrial structure,environmental pollution,and natural history.（4） Developing ＂red＂ and ＂green＂ tourism,emphasizing the development of new industries,and paying more attention to ecological protection were an important means to promote comprehensive sustainable development of ＂economy-society-resourcesecology＂ of Jiangxi Province.
