随着网络信息化时代的到来，网络语言应运而生并迅速发展。需要研究网络语言的发展阶段、繁荣背景以及其发展变化的特点和规律。网络语言经历了三个阶段的发展，完成了意义和功能的转型。在初始阶段以符号、数字和字母为主流，有追求时效、娱乐性强的特点；在发展阶段以谐音词和旧词新义为主流，有追求生动形象、修辞性强的特点；在成熟阶段出现了寓意深刻的网络文化词，有象征性、舆论性强的特点。从意义方面来看，网络语言从专注于网络生活转向聚焦民生。从功能方面来看，由创新语言向传播语言转变，其交际功能和娱乐功能弱化，而诉求功能和舆论功能增强。%As the development of internet information ,web language has been generated and used widely . The development process and prosperity background of web language is introduced ,and the characteristics and regulation are analyzed in this paper .Web language has passed three stages till now ,and the transfor-ming process of web language meaning and function has been completed .It is known that the symbol ,digit and letter are the main representative features in the preliminary stage .The homophonic words and new meaning of old words are the popular trend in the second stage ,i .e ,development stage .While the web cultural words are generated gradually in the third stage ,i .e .,maturity stage .Now the tendency of net language has been transformed from net life to people’s livelihood ,and the function of net language has been focused on spreading language from innovating language ,its communicating and entertaining function are decreasing gradually as the demanding and public opinion function are progressing .
