Objective To investigate the relationship between the human papillomavirus (HPV) and esophageal cell caricinoma in Luohe City of Henan Province. Methods We detected HPV DNA in 115 formalin - fixed and paraffin - embedded tissues by PCR with the general primer set of GP5 +/6 + for HPV LI gene and type - specific primer sets for HPV16 and HPV18. Results Totally 86 from 115 esophageal cell carcinoma samples were HPV positive and the rate was 74. 8%. Among the samples detected, 56 were HPV16 E6 positive and the rate was 48. 7% , 20 were HPV18 E6 postive and the rate was 17. 4%. Our result also showed that 12 were the multiple infection containing HPV16 and 18 as well. Conclusion The high rate of HPV in the esophageal carcinoma samples suggests that HPV plays an important role in the development of esophageal cancer in Luohe city of Henan Province.%目的 检测漯河地区食管癌患者中人乳头状瘤病毒(human papillomavirus,HPV)感染情况,探讨HPV感染与我国河南省漯河地区食管癌发生的相关性.方法 应用HPV L1通用引物GP5 +/6+、HPV16E6和HPV18E6型特异性引物多聚酶链反应(polymerase chain reaction,PCR)检测漯河地区食管癌组织中HPV存在状况.结果 115例食管癌组织中,86例检测到HPV阳性,阳性率为74.8％；其中56例检测到HPV16E6基因,阳性率为48.7％；20例检测到HPV18E6基因,阳性率为17.4％；12例HPV16E6和HPV18E6基因均阳性为混合感染.结论 我国河南省漯河地区食管癌与HPV DNA感染存在相关性,并且HPV感染可能是食管癌发生的重要因素之一.
