Chernychevsky is a great Russian scholar and critics .In the book "the A esthetic Relation-ship of A rt and Reality ,"he criticizes Hegel's aesthetic view which was popular at that time ,puts for-ward the definition that beauty is life ,affirms the existing meaning of beauty in real life ,and gives a completely new interpretation of the relationship between art and reality .Chernychevsky made outstand-ing contributions to the realistic aesthetic theory ,and on the other hand there is serious limitation of me-chanical materialism and metaphysics .%车尔尼雪夫斯基是“俄国的伟大学者和批评家”。在《艺术与现实的审美关系》一书中，他批判了当时流行的黑格尔派的美学观点，提出美是生活的定义，肯定了美在现实生活之中存在的意义，对艺术与现实的关系进行了全新的解释。车尔尼雪夫斯基为现实主义美学理论做出了卓越贡献，同时也存在着机械唯物论和形而上学的严重局限。
