Objective To investigate the possible cause of increased tumor-infiltrating lympho-cyte (TIL) number in hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) compared with spo-radic colorectal carcinoma (SCRC). Methods The expression of FasL protein was detected by im-munohistochemistry and the number and distribution of TIL were determined in 20 HNPCC spec-imens, 20 SCRC specimens and 20 normal mucosal specimens. Results The positive expression rates of FasL protein were, respectively ,30% ,70% and 0% in HNPCC, SCRC and normal muco-sa,with significant differences among the three tissues (P<0. 05). Moreover, the number of TIL in HNPCC was obviously higher than that in SCRC (P<0. 05) , and the distribution of TIL was negatively correlated with the expression of FasL (r-0. 483,P展开▼
