中国艳俗艺术的悖论及其反思

         

摘要

兴起于上个世纪90年代中期的艳俗艺术,是在消费社会和大众文化语境下艺术家与艺术市场“合谋”的产物。艳俗艺术家们在面对物欲横流的社会现实与艺术的神圣理想之间强烈的反差时,试图通过采用艳俗的艺术语言和反讽的艺术表达方式来传达他们对消费文化和大众审美趣味的嘲讽,用“以毒攻毒”的方式揭露和批判当代消费社会的物欲、浮华和庸俗趣味。%Gaudy art originated in the middle of 1990s, and is a product of the combination of artists and artistic market under the background of consumption society and mass culture. Faced with the remarkable contrast between the so-ciety full of material desire and the sacred ideals of art, Gaudy artists endeavored to express their sarcastic opinions to consumption culture and mass culture by the artistic language and ironic expressions of gaudy art, so as to reveal and criticize the desire for materials, vanity and low taste of the consumption society.
