In particular, due to their peculiarities in word-formation and signification, such phenomena as two-syllable clusters, reduplicative words, and repetitions are easily confusable in learn- ing classical Chinese language. A grasp of the characteristics and relevant knowledge of these words is conducive to better understanding the relationship between modern Chinese and classical Chinese languages and thus enhancing the capability of reading classical Chinese articles.
